Moonrun — Terms of Use
Moonrun is made and operated by Cadence ("Cadence", "we"). These terms govern your use of the Moonrun app and website. By creating a wallet or trading in Moonrun, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Moonrun.
1. What Moonrun is — and is not
- Moonrun is self-custodial software: an interface for trading tokens on public blockchains from a wallet only you control.
- Moonrun is not an exchange, broker, bank, custodian, or investment adviser. We hold no user funds, run no order book, match no orders, and give no financial advice.
- Trades execute on public blockchains through decentralized protocols (Jupiter on Solana, Relay for cross-chain). Every transaction is signed by you, on your device.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live), and you may only use Moonrun where doing so is legal. You are responsible for making sure your use of Moonrun, and of the blockchains it connects to, complies with the laws that apply to you. Do not use Moonrun if you are subject to sanctions or located in a jurisdiction where its use is prohibited.
3. Your wallet and keys
Your wallet is created with Privy's embedded-wallet infrastructure. The private key is yours alone: we cannot access it, and we cannot move, freeze, recover, or reverse your funds. Back up your secret key. If you lose both the key and access to your sign-in email, your funds are unrecoverable — by you, by us, by anyone.
4. Trading
- Quotes, prices, and estimates shown in the app are live market data, not guarantees. Fills depend on slippage, price impact, and liquidity at execution.
- Blockchain transactions are final. Once sent, no one can cancel or reverse them.
- Secure places an on-chain sell order that you arm yourself. Like any order, it needs liquidity at the target to fill; a fill is not guaranteed, and you can cancel it any time before it fills.
- Coins with thin liquidity are flagged; in a thin pool your own trade moves the price and exiting near the shown price may be impossible.
5. Fees
Moonrun adds a 0.5% fee on swaps, shown before you confirm. Network fees, and bridge fees on cross-chain trades, also apply and are shown in the quote. Card purchases of crypto are processed by Stripe or MoonPay under their own terms, prices, and identity checks — Cadence is not a party to those purchases.
6. Risk
Memecoins are extremely volatile and routinely go to zero. Nothing in Moonrun — the ladder, doubles, targets, receipts, trending lists, entry checks, or anything else — is investment advice, a recommendation, or a promise of profit. The ladder is a structure you choose; it says nothing about what any coin will do. Only trade money you can afford to lose entirely. You alone are responsible for your trading decisions and for any taxes on your activity.
7. Social features
Usernames, comments, trophies, runs, and shared receipts are visible to other users, and trades are public on the blockchain by nature. Post nothing unlawful, abusive, or deceptive, and do not use Moonrun to manipulate markets or mislead other users. We may remove content or suspend access to social features to keep them honest.
8. Third-party services
Moonrun relies on third-party services and protocols — including Privy, Jupiter, Relay, Helius, Stripe, MoonPay, and public market-data APIs — and on the blockchains themselves. We do not control them and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or conduct.
9. No warranty, limitation of liability
Moonrun is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that the app will be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cadence is not liable for trading losses, lost profits, or indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of Moonrun; our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid to Cadence in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes and termination
We may update Moonrun, these terms, or discontinue features at any time; changes to these terms take effect when posted here, with the date above updated. Because Moonrun is self-custodial, your funds and keys remain yours regardless — your wallet stays recoverable through Privy with your email, and your key is always exportable.
